Carrollton, TX --- The Look Good… Feel Better program is a free, national public service program that is dedicated to teaching women, who have cancer, the techniques that will restore their appearance, raise their self-esteem, and teach them how to deal with the sociological effects that is experienced during treatment.
With their continuous support of promoting community events for cancer patients, the Texas Hematology/Oncology Network will host the Look Good…Feel Better program, on Valentine’s Day, at Patient’s Comprehensive Cancer Center in Carrollton at 10:00am. “We believe that it is important for patients undergoing therapy get to take time out from treatment and focus on feeling good,” stated Tina Withrow, Director of Community Relations.
The Look Good…Feel Better program is a two-hour, hands-on workshop which will include a 12-step skin care/make-up application, demonstration of various options for hair loss and nail care techniques. Participants will receive make-over tips and personal attention from trained professionals and they will also receive a cosmetic kit filled with name-brand products, as well as helpful instruction booklets. The program is open to any female cancer patient in the Dallas area, but spaces are limited to 12 per site. To register, please call (972) 395-1010 ext. 1043.
